Kids On Board: Improving Pediatric Transport Practices

Transporting children safely in an ambulance requires specialized knowledge and preparation. This engaging session explores Texas pediatric transportation data, common challenges EMS providers face, and current Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) recommendations for pediatric restraint systems. Participants will learn proper harnessing and cot installation techniques, review child restraint options, and discover proactive strategies agencies can implement to reduce injury and improve outcomes for their youngest patients.
