EMTF -2 Infectious Disease Response Unit Training (Hospital)

Description

This two-day course is designed to orient and train physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and paramedics in infectious disease response. EMTF-2 personnel, partners, and attendees will gain knowledge of the Emergency Medical Task Force (EMTF) Infectious Disease Response Unit (IDRU) with EMTF program-specific concentration on IDRU personnel protective equipment and IDRU operations. Each attendee will gain knowledge of the Emergency Medical Task Force (EMTF) IDRU program and how to treat high-consequence infectious disease patients in hospital settings. This training session is intended to familiarize individuals assigned to the Infectious Disease Response Unit and how the IDRU operates.
